MacRieve Review (Immortals After Dark) Series
Review of MacRieve by Kresley Cole
MacRieve is the latest installment in Kresley Cole's bestselling paranormal romance series, Immortals After Dark. Featuring the Lykae (werewolf) Uilleam MacRieve
This is the 13th book so far but each novel is a standalone that features a different pair of lovers so while readers are advised to start from the beginning, if you pick up this book without reading the others it would still be okay.
MacRieve
The book's hero, Uilleam MacRieve, is a centuries-old Lykae (werewolf) who was last seen imprisoned in a research facility being experimented on by humans. He managed to escape but now his mind is damaged and the animal inside him is howling for vengeance and blood.
Now that he has encountered his destined mate, can he tame the beast long enough to claim what is his?
That's the story in simple blurb form. However, don't worry because it really isn't as cheesy as it sounds. Kresly Cole injects a lot of humor into these absurd situations that her characters find themselves in so it;s a fun read.
Lothaire
This is the book that was published right before MacReive. It's a very funny read and was in Amazon's Top 10 Romance Books of 2012.
Dreams of a Dark Warrior
Although Lothaire was the most recently published book, Uilleam MacReive was last seen in Dreams of a Dark Warrior during the prison break scene.
Recently Published
A spin-off book series featuring the Dacian vampires.
How to Pronounce "Uilleam"
Actually, it sounds like William except with no "w" sound. The most famous person named Uilleam is Uilleam Uallas better known by the Anglicized form of his name, William Wallace.
The Hot Lykae Twins
Uilleam has a twin brother, Munro. The two of them are a well-known sight in the immortal society in the books and are known as "Hot and Hotter." The clan seer predicted that Munro's fated mate would be a harridan ( a strict, scolding, bossy type of woman).
